Steam gift cards are one of the most common gifts for PC players, and one of the most common to end up unused. Maybe you play mostly on a console, maybe your library is already full of games you have not started, or maybe someone gave you a card for an account you closed years ago. Whatever the reason, a Steam Wallet card sitting in a drawer is money you are not using.

You can sell that card here. Our Telegram bot takes you from sign-up to payout in one chat. You send the card details inside the bot, the bot shows you an offer for your exact card, and you decide whether to go ahead. Nothing on this website asks for your code, and nothing happens until you say yes in the bot.

How it works

Selling your Steam card in three steps

  1. Open the bot and sign up

Tap the button to open @giftcard_redemption_bot in Telegram. It walks you through signing up and a one-time identity check.

  2. Send your card and see your rate

Share the card details inside the bot. It shows today's rate and the exact amount for your card before you agree.

  3. Get paid once the card is checked

If you accept, the card is checked and you are paid in crypto. The bot keeps you updated along the way.

Checklist

Before you sell

  • The card is unused, or you know exactly how much is left on it.
  • The card is yours. You bought it yourself or got it as a gift.
  • You have the full code, and the PIN if the card has one.
  • You still have the receipt, if you got one. Keep it until you are paid.
  • Do not redeem the card on your own Steam account first. Once a Steam Wallet code is added to an account, the funds stay with that account and the card has no value left to sell.

Find the code

Where to find your Steam gift card code

Where it is

On a physical Steam Wallet card from a store, flip the card over. The code is hidden under a silver scratch-off strip on the back. Scratch gently with a coin edge and stop as soon as you can read every character, because pressing hard can rub off part of the code. If you bought a digital Steam gift card from a retailer website, the code arrives by email or in your order history on that retailer site. A Steam gift sent directly from a friend inside Steam is different: it goes straight into an account and has no code you can pass on, so it cannot be sold.

What it looks like

A Steam Wallet code is a mix of capital letters and numbers, usually 15 characters long and often printed in three groups of five. It has no separate PIN. Look out for characters that are easy to mix up, such as the number zero and the letter O, or the number one and the letter I, and copy exactly what is printed.

Only share your code inside our Telegram bot. This website will never ask you for it.

Balance

Checking your Steam balance

Steam Wallet cards are sold with a fixed value that is printed on the card or shown on your receipt, so most sellers do not need to check a balance at all. Steam does not offer a way to check a card balance without redeeming it, and redeeming moves the money into an account. If you are unsure of the value, look at the card face, the packaging or the purchase receipt instead of entering the code anywhere.

Questions

Steam gift card questions

Can I sell a Steam card that I already added to my Steam account?

No. Once a Steam Wallet code is redeemed, the money becomes part of that Steam account balance and the code no longer works. Only unredeemed codes can be sold.

Do you accept Steam cards bought outside the US?

Steam cards can be tied to a currency or region. Send the card details in the bot and it will tell you whether that specific card can be accepted before you agree to anything.

Part of my scratch-off strip came off with the code. What now?

Try reading the code under a bright light at an angle. If some characters are truly unreadable, keep the card and the receipt and contact Steam Support through the official Steam website. Do not guess characters.

Is a Steam gift card the same as a Steam game gift?

No. A Steam gift card or Steam Wallet card carries a code. A game gifted inside Steam is attached to an account and cannot be sold here.

Someone asked me to buy Steam cards to pay a bill. Can I sell them here instead?

No real company or agency asks to be paid in Steam cards. That is a scam. Keep the cards, do not share the codes, and read our gift card scams guide.
